Pork Chop Supreme
Ingredients:
- 4 pork chops, bone-in or boneless
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pork Chops:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Dredge each pork chop in the flour mixture, coating evenly.
- Brown the Pork Chops:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops and cook until they are golden brown on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- Assemble the Dish:
- Place the browned pork chops in a baking dish.
- Pour the soup mixture over the pork chops, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the top.
- Add the Topping:
- In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs with a little melted butter (about 2 tablespoons) to moisten them.
- Sprinkle the bread crumbs evenly over the cheese.
- Bake:
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the pork chops are fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 145°F) and the topping is golden brown.
- Serve:
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a green salad.
