Easy Shrimp with Garlic Butter Recipe: Quick & Delicious

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp:
    • Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season them with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using).
  2. Heat the Pan:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the Shrimp:
    • Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, but be careful not to burn it.
  5. Combine and Serve:
    • Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
    • Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp and give it a final toss.
  6. Serve:
    • Transfer the shrimp to a serving dish and garnish with lemon wedges. Serve immediately.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of white wine or chicken broth to the garlic butter sauce.
  • Serve the shrimp with crusty bread, rice, or pasta to soak up the delicious sauce.
